Core Description
To perform the installation and maintenance of new network and telecommunications systems in the Data Center or for equipment that may be added to enhance Wingu’s current infrastructure. To include overseeing the installation of the company’s solutions and ensuring that the project complies with industry standards.
Planning, designing, and implementing telecom solutions within a data center environment.
Conducting maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of networks and telecom infrastructure in a data center environment.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance.
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Assisting in the setup and management of data center infrastructure.
The role also encompasses the construction, maintenance, and procurement of data center infrastructure, as well as ongoing data center management, which includes compliance, audits, and accounting for the data center organization, and include responsibilities related to IT systems architecture design and security.
Job Responsibilities
· Configuring, monitoring on servers and network equipment.
· Assesses, recommends improvements to network operations, integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems.
· Develop and upgrade an efficient network and perform troubleshoot on various network processes with help of monitoring tools.
· Providing IT support to staff and customers, as well as responding to the server and network issues.
· Ensure a Level 2 and 3 support the customers.
· Create, supervise ticket status and answer to customers in a timely manner
· Monitoring all network processes to ensure the smooth flow of data across the network.
· Collaborating with software and network engineering teams on cybersecurity and network efficiency.
· Provide regular training to NOC Engineers/Technicians and trainees.
· Documenting processes and keeping event logs.
· Keeping track of developing trends in data center technologies.
· Conduct data center audits of network systems, and lead improvements.
· Create, support and maintain effective customer relationships, with customer satisfaction as the ultimate goal.
· Perform routine maintenance checks for data center infrastructure system, BMS, CCTV system and access security system etc.
· Lead and accompany customer inside the data center during their site visit
· Maintain direct interface with sales and operations functions.
· Ensure server and application compliance with security and performance requirements.
· Complete repairs and perform corrective maintenance and routine installations.
· Use a combination of product management and application knowledge to guide customers through successful implementations.
· Run hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner.
· Createmaintain accurate and credible records of maintenance, changes, problems, methods-of-procedures (MOPs) and resolutions.
· Review product documentation for accuracy, content, and ease of use.
· Ensure the security and efficiency of data center server/network and telecom system
· Perform necessary repair of damaged or faulty equipment and devices
· Maintain records of all system administration operations and present reports to line managers
· Oversee the running of data cables (fiber cables, ethernet cables etc.) during the installation of new equipment.
· Maintain accurate inventory of work tools, equipment, and devices
· Conduct preventative maintenance on data center equipment to ensure efficient operations
· Listen to customer complaints and assist them in the resolution of technical issues
· Set up access controls to protect company systems and network
· Collaborate with the local ISPs, partners and supervise contractors
